Registration for the Midpoint in MS Adopteen Camp-Conference is now closed! Thank you to all who registered for Mississippi's debut event, we are SO excited to hang out with you all in two weeks!

If you are having trouble finding a hotel to stay at for your short visit to MS, may we suggest the Wingate Inn. The lovely event coordinators have made special arrangements with the Wingate Inn for all Midpoint in MS attendees and the hotel is very close to all of our main activities! Simply mention Adopteen Camp-Conference when you make your reservation and you will be able to book a room at a discounted rate. It's like a verbal coupon!

As always, we are here to answer any questions you might have - preferably concerning Midpoint in MS, but we'll try our best on any other topic. Please direct all questions and concerns to either amy@chinaadopteen.org or ms@chinaadopteen.org.

Happy New Year! We'll see you soon!

Wow. We're only one week away from our Midpoint in MS Adopteen Camp-Conference! You guys realize what this means, right???

This means that the only thing keeping you away from one of the most FANtastic, let-loose, chill-out weekends of your lives (top ten, at least), are these upcoming seven days! We know it's going to be a new experience for a lot of you, but we really really think you're gonna love what we have planned for the short three days you're with us.

The program schedule for the three-day weekend has been updated, so please take a look at that if you haven't already! ;)

See you all in a week!

Hello Friends!

Midpoint in MS Adopteen Camp-Conference was an incredible blast and a HUGE success! With 28 teens, visiting from CO, FL, GA, MS, NC and TN, this past weekend went down like one fantastic party. :D

From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the Davis family for helping us coordinate such a fun weekend. Without them, this weekend would not have happened and we are so thankful.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the parents who supported us and all of the teens who put up with our shenanigans all weekend. You all are our inspiration. Thank you for keeping us on our toes. ;)

Lastly, thank you to our Midpoint in MS AdopTeen Committee -- Eli Davis, Daniel Clark, and Kate Cruz. A small committee with big results. Who could ask for more?

With the very first ever Midpoint Adopteen Camp-Conference now passed with flying colors, you might be wondering what you should do with all this bubbling excitement. Well, we have just the thing!

The 4th Annual National Adopteen Camp-Conference is this summer in Virginia! Don't let the excitement die down too much, because registration for the national Adopteen Camp-Conference will open up at the end of March! That's only two months from now. =)

Please check back here next month for more news concerning the VA Adopteen Camp-Conference. Again, the national Adopteen Camp-Conference will be during the 3rd week of July: July18th-22nd, 2011!!!

Pictures of Midpoint in MS will be posted onto our Facebook page soon.

There are no words to adequately express how grateful and thankful we are to have such incredible people in our lives, who help us do what we love to do.

Your Friends, always,

Amy & Art

Save the Date!

News about the 2011 National Adopteen Camp-Conference in VA is coming soon.

As you read this, please open up your calendars to July and reserve the week of July 18th - 22nd for Adopteen. I mean, you don't have to, but if you want to be a little bit ahead of the wild mobs scrambling to get a chance to hang out with us, we think it's a good idea. ;)

On a separate note, Chinese New Year was last Thursday, February 3rd! It is now the Year of the Rabbit. So, from us to you, Happy New Year!

In the next month, you can expect the program schedule for this summer's Camp-Conference and AdopTeen Committee applications to be posted. So keep an eye out for that.

Mark those calendars!

If this is your first time visiting, you are probably wondering who we are, what we do, and how we keep our skin so soft.  After giving our humble website a go-around, answers to your first two questions will hopefully be found.  But just to be safe, please check here and here and here. :)

Please visit the Q&A page for detailed answers to some common questions.  That place is like Mary Poppins’ magic bag.  Goodies galore!

Hello, lovely people!

If you have been checking this old-fashioned, long-form twitter recently, you probably (hopefully) noticed a couple new trinkets that have popped up. "What trinkets?," you say?

Well...we have a new Facebook page! If you have a Facebook account and haven't paid us a visit, we would absolutely love it if you would grace us with your presence. Or, in this case, your mouse clicking the "Like" button. ;)

And if you are wondering who exactly the 2011 Teen Committee members are, they are right here.

As always, registration for this summer's 4th Annual National Adopteen Camp-Conference ends on June 30th. If you have been sitting there, wondering what all the fuss is about... Come see for yourself and register!

We made some flyers last weekend -- did they find their way to any of you??

Check back here next week for more, newer news!

Cheers!

As you may or may not know, every Adopteen Camp-Conference has a T-shirt.

Well. I believe that’s about all the explanation we need for the rest of this announcement…=D

T-shirt Design Contest!!!

We want YOU to design the T-Shirts for this summer’s 4th Annual National Adopteen Camp-Conference!

It’s simple.  When designing your T-Shirt, you have a couple of options:

  • You can download the T-Shirt template here, start drawing, and mail us your final product
    or
  • You can find a custom T-Shirt design website that lets you make your own designs (like this) and send us a link or picture of your final product

Mix it up!  Feel free to use both options if your design is complicated!  If you like a certain font that you don’t think we have, let us know!

Can you tell we’re excited?!

Things to keep in mind:

  • Adopteen” and “2011” must be included somewhere in your design.
  • Maximum of three colors in your design
  • Maximum front and back image sizes will be 16’’ × 20’’ on the actual T-Shirt.
  • Design may be subject to adjustments for various printing and pricing reasons.
  • No copyrighted images, please. Be completely and utterly creative!
  • T-Shirts will not be black.
  • Go all out!

For online designs, please e-mail links/photos to applications@chinaadopteen.org.

For all hand-drawn designs, please mail your designs to:

All design submissions are to be mailed by Monday, June 6th!

Our favorite designs will be posted on our Facebook page, Monday, June 20th for EVERYONE to vote on.  Don’t have a Facebook account?  No worries.  You will still be able to see the submitted designs.  Voting instructions will be announced once the designs are uploaded, so keep an eye out!

Phew!  Alright. We’re done.  Now it’s your turn! If you have any questions, Email/Facebook/Twitter it up!

Have fun! We can’t wait to see your ideas!!

Friends! Words cannot express how incredibly happy this past week made us. Words With Friends could not even help us come close to adequately expressing the warmth that floods our hearts everytime someone asks us about our time spent with you all. So many of you have thanked us for making this Adopteen thing happen, but we truly would be useless
