Bonjour mes amis.
Je m'appelle Zoe, et je ne peux pas parler français. Tambien, yo no puedo hablar en español. Watashi wa nihongo ga suki desu, though I am terrified to attempt Chinese- textually or orally. I assure you the irony is not lost on me in this situation. However, while I lack the ability to converse in Mandarin (or any other dialect), I love being Chinese.
This is fortunate because even if I didn't like being Chinese, I wouldn't be able to be someone else. The Adopteen Camp-Conference is a great place for awesome, adopted, Chinese people, such as you and me, to gather together and appreciate being ourselves. This will be my third Adopteen Camp-Conference and I am REALLY excited to meet everyone this summer to compare our likenesses and accept our differences in person! ;)

So...
I'm a senior at Tupelo High School in Mississippi.
I'm 18 years old and almost not a teen anymore. :\
I like to play sports.
I am a beast at life.
Call me a veteran, but I've been to all of the Adopteen Camp-Conferences since the beginning and have been on the Teen Committee for the last 3 years.
But enough of that. Most importantly, I am SOOO ready for Virginia and uber excited to make new friends and make fun of my old.
You already know I'll be there. The question is, will you? (;

Well hello, you good looking people! Do you know what time it is?! It's time for the 4th Annual National Adopteen Camp-Conference, and it's going to be a sweet, epic time!
I'm 17 years old and a junior in high school. I was adopted from the Yunan province when I was 5 months old and live in Colorado. I have been to all of the Adopteen Camp-Conferences since the beginning and have been on the Teen Committee for 3 years. I'm very active and love meeting new people. The things I love to do is endless, so I won't bore you.
Adopteen has been one of the best experiences of my life. I've met so many people who have become my good friends and have made memories that will last forever. I've learned so much about where I'm from. I love learning about our culture. I love having people around me that share the same connections. The camp-conferences keep getting better and this year, we are hitting up the beach for you East Coasters! I hope to see all of your beautiful faces in Virginia, old and new, to have an awesome time with the coolest people you'll ever meet. EVER! Be there so you don't miss out! ;) |

Hey! I’m 15 and I’m hoping to see you at the Adopteen Conference this year in Virginia. This will be my 3rd year attending the conference and my 2nd year on the committee!!
So, a little about me: I live in Denver, CO. I have 3 younger sisters (all adopted). Currently, my family is training a puppy who we hope will become a service dog in a year. I love walking my dog. I love reading. I’m not coordinated at all, so I stick with playing the piano and handbells. Basically, I’m an amazing person and you should definitely get the chance to meet me this summer! ;)
Reasons why you should come this summer: one, you’ll get to meet tons of awesome people and make lots of new friends; two, it’s a week stock full of super fun activities (we’re going to the beach and Busch Gardens—enough said); and three, you’ll get to hang out with the super amazing Teen Committee! Haha.
If those aren’t good enough reasons… wait – they should have already convinced you to click the register link! (So if you haven’t already, I would strongly advise you to do so :))
Hope to see you this summer! |

Hey...!
I'm 15, soon to be 16. I love dancing in my bedroom and listening to Pandora while doing homework. I attend Rock Canyon HS in Highlands Ranch, CO and am a 10th grader. I'm super chill(…maybe a little bit bossy) and I love having fun and hanging out with friends!
This will be my third time attending the Adopteen Camp-Conference and my second time on the committee! I love attending Adopteen each year because I get to meet a whole bunch of interesting people (like you!).
This year will be the best year yet!
Hope to see you there. |

Hey Everyone! I’m 15 years old and this is my 4th year going to an Adopteen Camp Conference, but my 1st time on the Teen Committee!
I’ve loved every single minute of it! I’m so excited that it is in Virginia this year!! I’ve made a lot of friends through this conference and I’m so glad that each and every one of them is still in my life today. We all have one thing in common… we are adopted teens from China who want to hang out with other awesome teens. This conference has changed my life. I’ve met so many amazing people and hope to meet many more (that means you).
I love to tumble - you know...do one handed cartwheels on the cement in high heels...
I’m also very flexible and will gladly do the splits. I love to play tennis with my little sister! I’m very outgoing and I’m not afraid to make a fool of myself. My sister says I’m the silliest person you will ever meet and that I love to give out hugs. If you ever want to find me, just look for the girl having a great time and laughing her head off. You will probably join me in the end. :)
So come and join me and all the Adopteens at the 2011 Adopteen Camp-Conference in VA!
See ya there! |

Hi!
A few things about me…I can crash through stars, run super fast and my hair is rainbow colored. Haha. Not really. I just described to you "Robot Unicorn Attack".
But, what I can do is make sure that you have an awesome time at the Adopteen Camp-Conference this summer. I am 17 years old and I am currently going to Lewis Palmer High School in Monument, CO. I'm an easy going person who enjoys the little things in life. Just living in the moment.
I am super excited for this year's Camp-Conference, but I'm even more excited to get to know you. SEE YOU SOON! :) |

Hey! I’m 16 years young and live in the coolest place ever; Fort Collins, Colorado….
In my spare time, I enjoy long walks on the beach thinking deeply about my thoughts and feelings.
Nah, but really, I love dancing, drawing, basketball, swimming, reading, EVERYTHING!! I seriously can’t wait to meet every. single. one of you. I can honestly say that Adopteen has changed my life…in a good way! Be prepared because this year’s conference is going to be doppppeeeee.
Hmm... what can I say? I’m pretty outgoing, really easy to talk (so come talk to me), very sarcastic, and a lot of fun to be around. I would love to brag about myself some more, BUT I must be off.
Can’t wait to meet all of you in Virginia! :)
<--- That's in Shanghai, if you’re wondering. :) |
