2011 Adopteen Teen Committee Application:
How can we be undeniably awesome?

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Adopteen Teen Committee member! 

The Requirements
To be eligible for consideration in applying to be a Teen Committee member, you:

  • Must have attended at least one previous Adopteen Camp-Conference
  • Are able to attend the 2011 National Adopteen Camp-Conference in Chesapeake, VA.
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Possess strong leadership skills and leadership experience
The Expectations
As a Teen Committee member, you will be expected to contribute in the following ways:

Pre-Camp:
  • Participate in promotional efforts before the conference
    • Fundraising
    • Generating buzz
    • Social media management
    • Media marketing
      • Flyer design
      • Videos
  • Suggest and vote on workshop topics and other major details of Adopteen 2011
  • Maintain communication and collaboration with entire Adopteen Team
During Camp:
  • Be a leader and mentor
  • Facilitate group initiatives
  • Encourage meaningful discussion
  • Decoration, set-up and clean-up
Post-Camp:
  • Attend post-conference wrap-up meeting (phone conference)

Teen Committee decisions will be finalized by April 22nd.  

Our first promotional project launches May 2nd.

Please be aware. We ask that Adopteen Teen Committee members arrive in Chesapeake, VA at least one day prior to the Camp-Conference start date. Though this is not mandatory, we highly recommend it.
